Served perfectly warm with vanilla ice cream, after any type of meal. I thought my mouth had died and gone to heaven even though I had never tried this recipe before and was nervous about attempting a Gluten Free Vegan dessert, by my oh my did it work out!
Chocolate Brownie: 230 calories per slice
Serves: 15 – 20
Free from: Gluten, egg, dairy and meat
Ingredients:
110g gluten free plain flour
55g cocoa powder
1/4 teaspoon xanthan gum
225g dairy free butter
450g caster sugar
100g dark chocolate
25g dark chocolate chips
150g cold water
Method:
Preheat your oven to 190 degrees. Put the flour, cocoa and xanthan gum into a mixing bowl. Melt the butter in a large saucepan and add the sugar. Once melted, add cubes of the dark chocolate into the saucepan and wait for it to thicken. Then add your chocolatey butter to the bowl and mix.
When mixed, add the chocolate chips and water and mix again. Then pour your gooey mixture into your greased baking tray and bake for 40-45 minutes until firm to touch.
Make sure you let your brownies cool before tucking in!
